WORSHIPPING
JESUS CHRIST
ON THE
SABBATH
The Sabbath Day holds significant meaning in the Bible, acting as a cornerstone of faith, rest, and communion with God. This sacred day is a commandment and a spiritual principle that has implications for believers' daily lives.
REMEMBER: Jesus Christ did not come to change anything in the Old Testament; He came to fulfill it.
"Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” (Matthew 5:17–18).

Our ECCLESIA
MODERN DAY ECCLESIA: WHAT IS IT? By definition, an Ecclesia refers to a gathering or assembly of believers, often translated as “church.” It signifies both the collective body of Christ’s followers and local congregations where they assemble for worship and fellowship.
We resemble the early church
In Acts 2:42-47, we are presented with a rich and detailed account of the early church actively living out their faith. When viewing that particular passage of Scripture above, it reveals how believers fully dedicated themselves to several key practices:
-
the apostles' teaching,
-
communal fellowship,
-
the breaking of bread, and
-
prayer.
Together, these elements illustrate that ecclesia is not merely a physical structure or formal institution; rather, it signifies a dynamic and vibrant community deeply united in purpose and spiritual connection.
The concept of ecclesia encourages us to be proactive participants in God's divine mission on earth, marked by acts of love, service to others, and a commitment to mutual support among members.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus emphatically proclaims, "On this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." This powerful statement underscores the eternal significance and divine foundation of the ecclesia. It serves as a profound reminder of the church's crucial role in God's overarching plan of redemption for humanity, reinforcing the belief that nothing can ultimately thwart the church's mission.
Moreover, the notion of ecclesia extends well beyond a mere assembly of individuals; it encompasses a deep spiritual reality woven throughout the scriptural narrative.
In the Book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul elaborates on the nature of the church by beautifully describing it as the bride of Christ, adorned splendidly for her husband. This metaphor not only highlights the intimate, covenantal relationship between Christ and the church but also points to the church's sanctifying role in guiding and nurturing its members toward holiness and spiritual maturity. This role is a testament to your spiritual growth and maturity. To fully grasp this imagery, believers are invited to see themselves collectively as instruments of God's glory, called to reflect His love, grace, and transformative power in the world. This is what we teach at The Church of Promise, located in Mebane, North Carolina. We meet every Saturday morning at 11:30 via Zoom to give anointing words found in the Holy Bible - emphasizing those words to not only the members of the church, but to all that will assemble for concrete knowledge about who Christ is and why He is the one who can sustain anyone who receives Him as Lord and Savior.
Therefore, by actively embodying the principles of Christ, the church (His bride) can become a beacon of hope and light, positively impacting the lives of both those within and outside its community.
"WHERE EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY" because we come leaning on Christ.
On Christ, the solid rock we stand, all other ground is sinking sand.
The Church of Promise is an intimate intergenerational church on a mission to reconcile the world to God through Jesus Christ! There’s so much I could say about The Church of Promise, but don’t take my word for it; check us out for yourself! There’s so much to see and experience at The Church of Promise; one visit to the website just won’t do. Come and be a part of this incredible move of God, all done ONLINE with the assistance of a ZOOM Platform!
OUR HISTORY
The Church of Promise was founded in 2008 by Bishop Apostle Dr. Zella Berry Case and Suffragan Bishop Dr. Martin W. Case in their living room. Just about 10 people were gathered to worship Jesus Christ for what He has done and what He will do, glorifying Him in both our walk and our talk. The Church of Promise stands on the promises of Christ and operates in the fullness of God, guided by the Holy Spirit to cultivate and nurture spiritual gifts.
Once housed in a physical structure, but now, since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have turned to the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to reach further and utilize the internet as our platform for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church of Promise is a Spirit-filled Online church (via Zoom) where people of all races can meet Jesus and discover their God-given purpose.
Furthermore, we are incredibly joyful to report that this church is not kindred in many ways to what some might refer to as a traditional church, which usually operates by the standards of humankind (i.e., voting). We operate through the Holy Spirit and in accordance with the ways of Christ.
This is a place where you have all the opportunities to exercise your God-given gift(s), once discovered by our Senior Pastor, which point you toward serving others. After being trained in your anointing and taught according to the Word of God and His promises, all found in the Holy Bible, you can fulfill your purpose.
We are passionate kindred to the passion that Bishop Dr. Case, our pastor, exhibits, e.g., in empowering and equipping today’s leaders with the tools needed for tomorrow.
We teach the principles and anointing that the Five-Fold Ministry, as described in Ephesians 4:11-16, brings to the church and provide you with dynamic Sermons that inspire you to caress and exhibit the nine fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
We created a unique space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory.
We are a welcoming community of believers who love God and love people. The Church of PROMISE is a family and a place to call home! There is no dictatorship, only stewardship of Christ.
As we walk by faith and reject fear, the Church of PROMISE is a place to be equipped and trained for the ministry work that God has intricately designed you to accomplish. People are at the heart of The Church of PROMISE, and we'd love to meet and connect with you in the future!
Grab your notebook, bring your Bible, and tell a friend that you have found the TRUTH in a church that brings God's truth to life, demonstrating their examples of how Christ truly keeps His promises.
We look forward to seeing YOU!
